Problems Printing and Adobe Reader

  • Make sure that you are clicking the print button in the Adobe reader window (the window in which the file opens) and not the print button in the browser window. Otherwise it won't print off the whole picture.

  • Make sure when printing a PDF file, you click the "print" button in the PDF window NOT the browser window!

·         NOTE:  printing a PDF file onto stickers, labels and/or CD’s.  When you click print, notice what the "Page Scaling" says.  I have been looking into this a little more.  People have told me that they are not fitting or printing right on the paper.  You will need to make sure that the "Page scaling" says NONE.  I print in that (NONE.)  When I print in "fit to printer margins" sometimes it is off!!   So try this and it should print right!!

·         When printing other items in Adobe Reader make sure you look in the window "preview" window in the print box and see how things fit.   If you are printing something that is made in "landscape" make sure your paper prints that way.   In the Abode Reader print window click on "Properties" and then change the paper to landscape!

ALSO: Some people are having a problem with some missing letters and they don't print right.  Thanks to Heather S., she has helped me understand why!
The answer to the problem is that people need to update their Adobe Acrobat Reader to the newest version. When this is updated, all the letters will be right and everything is great. Just go to adobe.com and you can download the updated version for free.

ABOUT OPENING LARGE FILES or opening files that are zipped

Because of the size of some files and depending on how you are connected to the Internet, (dial up or cable) this will greatly impact the amount of time it takes to open large files!
You might want to put your mouse over the top of the file you want.  Right click and then click "save target".   This will download the files or pdf file onto your computer for you; then it will open even when you are not online and it will work a lot faster.

I have also changed the way some of the larger downloads are available.  I have them zipped. You will need to unzip them, just click on the link like normal. A lot of the time, the file will unzip it self.   (Another window will open and the file or PDF file will be in that file for you to open). It will open faster that way. If you need an unzip program you can do a search with www.google.com or here is one I found http://www.camunzip.com/ I have never used it, so I don't know anything about it!!!!
If you still have problems, please
contact me

Opening Doc files

If you'd like to open DOC files and don't have MSOffice, you can go to OpenOffice.org and download the open source software suite that will allow you to open, print, and edit those files.

Also it might ask for a password, just click cancel.  I have no idea why it does that; see you can see I am not all that computer smart!

Excel Viewer:

I do have files on here in Excel.  I know for some that means you can not open them.  You can download an Excel Viewer and then you can view any excel page; but just not edit it!  I am not sure if this will work, but here is the download that I used before I got it from Microsoft Excel. You can download it and see if it works for you!

xlViewer.exe or here is the link Click Here
