Baptism Handouts and Booklets and more.

  These are some different printable booklets, handouts and certificates, and more that could be used at a It's Great to Be Fireside or someone turns 8.

 

 

 

Baptism Handouts for Children and Parents

These are handouts are given to our Primary kids and their parents at the
"It's Great To Be Eight Fireside"

The parents handouts have been updated with President Monson as Prophet.

Here is a card I made up for my son who had a It's Great to be 8 party. He was the CTR 8 year old teacher (before his mission), and at the end of the year he had all the kids on his class come over and they played games, had a white elephant gift exchange, ate pizza and had cake, it was his way of having one big party for all of them in one shot!

He then handed out this card, it has the Baptismal Covenants and the Sacrament Prayer, he told them to put this card in their scriptures  and always keep it with them, and then they can pull it out during the sacrament and read along so they won't miss the important things send in the prayers, and then the other side helps them remember the covenants they made when they got baptized and the promises Heavenly Father gives to us.

He also gave them a pack of gum that said  "I am so proud of you for "chewzing" to make and keep Sacred Covenants" (see lower on page)

Baptism Binder

Here is what Katie (from the Primary Yahoo list) does in her ward, she gave me permission to share it with you.

We make a "Baptism Binder" that we give to the child when we visit with them before their baptism.  It is a 1 inch 3 ring binder.  On the front is their name and date of baptism.  Inside, it contains:
1.  A page with the baptism covenants (what we covenant and what the Lord covenants)
2.  A page with what it means to be confirmed
3.  A page for a picture dressed in white
4.  A page for the baptism program
5.  A page for the Childs thoughts and feelings the day he/she was baptized
6.  3 pages (lined) that we pass around while the child is changing clothes after the baptism before the confirmation.  They are labeled "Those who came to my baptism and their feelings about today"
7.  A page for the Mother's Testimony
8.  A page for the Father's Testimony
9.  2 pages for the grandparents testimony
10.  A full color page with the first presidency, our Stake Center, and our bishopric
11.  A page for them to trace their hand at 8 years old
12.  A page where they fill in the blanks about their favorite things at 8 years old.
13.  On the back cover is a poem about baptism.

We use scrapbook paper and put all pages in protectors.  We have had SO many people comment on how much they love their "baptism binders".  Several other wards in our area are now doing them.  However, they are a lot of work.  I try to have everything copied and ready to go for the whole year.  It ends up being a wonderful reminder of their special day that they can keep or add to.

Topper for Chewing Gum

We are so proud of you for "chewzing" to make and keep Sacred Covenants

Here is a printable, there are 4 on a page, you will see where you need to cut them, then use them as toppers, fold them in half and staple to a bag with a pack of gum in it, then punch two holes under the last line, and tie a ribbon to add a little "something" to it.

Baptism Badges

Here are some Baptism badges, that you can give to the kids after they are baptized, they can wear them on the following Sunday to church, it is a way of recognizing them. Or some of them could be used for kids when they turn 8. You can print them out on sticker paper, or cut them out and laminate them and put a pin on the back, or buy the "buttons" that you would slide these into the front of them. There are 6 on a page.

Baptism Covenant Poster

This is a  8 x 10 poster that I print off and laminate and give to the kids at the Baptism fireside also, I tell them to hang it in there room all year long, even before they get Baptized to help them remember about the covenants they are making at Baptism!
