Relief Society

The Relief Society was founded by the Prophet Joseph Smith in 1842 in Nauvoo, Illinois. The Relief Society serves under the direction of the priesthood. It assists priesthood leaders to help sisters and their families come unto Christ. It helps each sister and their families receive all essential priesthood ordinances, keep the associated covenants, and qualify for exaltation and eternal life.

The following objectives support the purpose of Relief Society:

  1. Build faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His Atonement.
  2. Uphold, nourish, and protect families.
  3. Provide Relief.

All women 18 years and older as well as women younger than 18 who are married or are single mothers, are welcomed into the sisterhood of Relief Society.

The motto is “Charity Never Faileth”.

I have 2 Home Sweet Home stencils that are new and I will sell, for cheap!  I was going to do a project but I ended up not doing it! The stencil is made to use on a 1 x 8 x 20 board, the capital letters are 3" tall and the word home is 4" long and the word sweet is about 4 1/2" long. I had put large spaces in between each word so I could cut it up and use them to make stack able blocks, but I have not! The stencil does not have hearts in it like the picture above, I added those because of the space. Like I said I only have 2 of these left, if you are interested please email me! Oh, I will sell them for $16.00 each plus $5.00 for shipping ( that is Priority shipping). So email me is you want this stencil! CLICK HERE TO EMAIL
