A little about me!

I thought I would answer a few of the questions I get the most!

1. Why do you do this?

• I love it; that is why!  I enjoy creating and helping make things a little easier for others.

2. Why is it FREE?

• WHY NOT? I like doing it, so why not share it with all of you.

3. I noticed others put their names on their work -- why not you?

• Because I don't mind if you print something off and want to claim it as your own. I want people to feel like they can print off a handout and make people think they did it!

4. Is your site up to date?

• I try the best I can. I try to keep up on all the Visiting Teaching handouts, YW lesson handouts, and I try to add new material as I get it or become inspired.

5. Can anyone share something on your site?

6. Will you answer questions?

• SURE!! I do have a life beyond doing this, so please be patient. I try to check in the mornings and evenings, but please give me at LEAST 24 hours; sometimes it takes me longer to answer emails. If you want me to help you by making something, it may take a few days.

And a little about me:

Hi, and welcome to The Idea Door. My name is Liz. I grew up in Utah. . . well, I moved there when I was 5. After I got married we moved to Arizona, which I love. (Well, ask me anytime except about August and September. That is when I don't like it all that much.) I am married to my best friend and have four wonderful kids. I have been a member of this great and wonderful church all my life. This church brings great blessings into my life. I have served in many callings such as: Primary, Young Women, Cub Scouts, Achievement Days, Nursery, on the Activities Committee, Relief Society, Sunday School Teacher -- I guess pretty much everywhere. During these times I have come up with different ideas and activities, and I wanted to share them with others. So, presto! This website was born.

I started my first website oh. . . probably in 2000. It was very small -- maybe 4 pages. Now I have well over 500 pages and well over 1500 PDF files (which are files that you can print), and it is still growing. I started it for two reasons: one -- to share pictures with my family and friends who did not live by my family, and two -- to share ideas with others who are LDS like me, but I do have things on this site that can help anyone.

I have never charged for this website and never will. I enjoy doing it and know that there are many people all over the world who can benefit from things that are on this site.

To help cover my cost for this site, I have added the "Clipart" section. The idea is to offer downloadable clipart for a great price, any time you want it. No more having to order software or going to the store. No more trying to find clipart for use in newsletters, flyers and more! The cost for these files of clipart varies between $2.30 - $6.00 for each instant download.

What a wonderful church we belong to. We are a worldwide church with so many different kinds of people in it. Now, with the Internet we are able to meet one another, help one another and learn from one another. My goal with this website is to bring ideas to all those members that can use them. Although the only language I speak is English, I do have a few things up in a few other languages. If you see a printable you would like in another language, just email me the info and I can cut and paste it in and send it to you, like in a bookmark, baptism book, stickers or anything you might need.
