We went to a local nursing home and decorated the doors. We tried to get other people involved from church and school. The residents who could would help also by telling us what they wanted. Whether it was a large snowman with snow falling around or a manger scene or just make their door look like a large present. They enjoyed that. Then we got
prizes. One Year it was a free trip to the beauty salon at the nursing home (this yr a lady who had not come out of her room in over a year won and she had a blast helping and got her spirits lifted) Another year we had a local trophy store who donated 1st 2nd and 3rd place trophies. Other years we have given Dollar store things, nice notepad or finger nail polish. They and We always seem to enjoy it!
