# Here is how our Nursery schedule goes::
11:20 – 11:35 Welcome (which is stuff like: books, puzzles, play dough, water paints, file folders etc)
11:35 – 11:50 Snack Time
11:50 – 12:00 Lesson
12:00 – 12:10 Activity ( handout that goes with lesson)
at this time we open the two according doors that divided our three Nursery’s and have playtime together)
12:10 – 12:45 Play Time (toys, parachute, bubbles )
12:45 – 12:50 Clean Up
12:50 – 1:00 Singing / Closing Time
# Use coffee filter papers instead of napkins, the kids love the fact that they are like bowls and the snacks stay in them instead of fall of the napkin! And they are really cheap!
# We bought sippy cups, we write the names of the kids on the lids so we knows who cups is who’s, and the older one’s like to pick a color, we do have to wash them weekly, but it is well worth it, we don’t have big spills any more, just drips.
# Take a picture of each of the kids and put them on poster for each door, the kids love to see them self’s and show others about them and their classroom.
# This year we made a picture of a garden, and put their faces in the middle of each flower, they now pick their picture, and then plant them back in another “garden” in the classroom, this garden is in front of the temple
# For the sake of the Nursery Leaders, see if you can have your Nursery in rooms with the accordion doors, start with playtime with all kids together, then shut the doors and have lessons, snacks, activity, or what ever else you do, then the last 15 minutes or so, open the doors again and have singing time and or bubbles until the end, this gives the leaders the chance to visit with other adults and it breaks up the time for the adults and kids, plus gives more room!
# Have an extra Nursery Leader, so you can rotate and every one can go to regular class every few months, you would not want to start this until the kids are use to the extra nursery worker,
