Plan of Salvation
Here is a GREAT Primary Quarterly activity given to us by scrazy8 Thanks for sharing
This is a Primary Quarterly Activity that we had a lot of fun doing. We had about 20 nonmember friends attend and everyone had a great time learning the Plan of Salvation.
We met in the cultural hall for each stage of life.
We had a poster with each stage of life written on it that they would see upon entering the cultural hall each time.
We started out by saying that when the lights go off and then on, we stop what we are doing and line up at a certain door. (the door closest to the drinking fountains). They would then walk out and down the hallway and into the other door, back into the cultural hall. And that is when they would see the poster with the name on it*..*Pre earth life* *earth life* *death* *spirit world* *judgment* *celestial glory*.
We told them that we would be going through the plan of happiness that our Heavenly Father has prepared for us. And after each activity, we would explain the meaning.
First. PRE EARTH LIFE: I had all the children sitting in front of me. I told them that I would be giving them something to eat and they had to close their eyes while eating it. Some might enjoy it, and some might not like it at all.* Are you willing to do this?* I then had my teenage helpers hand each child a Nilla wafer, while their eyes were closed. If they peeked, I did not make a big deal over it. My helpers each had a baggie of wafers. When they were through, I asked them if they liked it? And if it was a hard thing to do to TRUST me? I then likened it to when our Heavenly Father talked to each of us before coming to earth. We did not know exactly how life would be, but we were willing to put our trust in him, sort of like putting your trust in me that I would not give you something totally awful to eat!
Now, the lights would go off and on again. The children would line up at the door, with my helpers guiding them. They also knew that they had to be quiet. They would walk down the hall and back into EARTH LIFE.
EARTH LIFE
We played Simon Says. The first game was a practice, and then I started slow and went faster. My helpers would tap them on the shoulder if they got out. We played for about 10 minutes. I told them that one important reason why Jesus came to earth was for us to follow His example and do what He would do, sort of like how you would do what I would say and do in Simon Says. LIGHTS! Walk in and out into*..
DEATH
We played the game *Stuck in the Mud*. It is like Freeze Tag. We had about 5 people who would tag the others and if you got tagged you had to freeze until another player crawled under your legs to unfreeze you. We made sure to go over the rule of not running into people and not to play too rough. The reason we played *Stuck in the Mud* is because our bodies go into the ground when we die. LIGHTS! Walk in and out into*.
SPIRIT WORLD
We played Musical Chairs. We had two different rows because we had about 70 kids. We again enforced the rule about not playing rough, but having fun. We played to the Primary song *Family History* (Geneology). We told them that when our spirits go to the Spirit World, we are reunited with loved ones, etc. LIGHTS! Walk in and out into*.
JUDGMENT
We split the children in half and gave half of them a little fuzzy pom pom and told them to each give their fuzzy to a child sitting on the other side of the room and pay that person a compliment. Then we had that side give their fuzzy to a child on the other side and give them a compliment. We will be judged for the things that we do while living on earth and we want to do lots of good things and to be kind to others. LIGHTS! Walk in and out into
CELESTIAL KINGDOM
Here we gave them each a chocolate heart representing the love of our Heavenly Father. That our goal is to live with Him and Jesus Christ again.
We then went through the Plan of Salvation with the cut outs that I had and that we were giving to each child to take home. I put each piece on the chalk board and briefly explained, again, each phase of life and included the Resurrection that we did not do a game for.
Before this day, I had young women come over to my home and help me cut and color 70 plan of salvation lessons for one of their goals. We had fun doing it together and it helped me get to know them better. I got the cutouts out of a sharing time book: Primary Partners Sharing Time Treasures, *My Family Can Be Forever* page 23, #15. Along with that, I typed out a page explaining this plan and I put scriptures from the Bible backing this up.
We knew that we were going to have many nonmembers with us and we wanted their parents to know what we were doing and learning. We had a lot of fun!

Song: I am a Child of God
I am a child of God and He has sent me here.
Has given me an earthly home with parents kind and dear.
Chorus: Lead me, guide me, walk beside me.
Help me find the way.
Teach me all that I must do to live with Him someday.
I am a child of God, and so my needs are great.
Help me to understand His words before it grows too late.
Chorus:
I am a child of God. Rich blessings are in store.
If I but learn to do His will, I*ll live with Him once more.
