Pie Night with Parents
We didn’t have pie, but it is a great idea! We did do sort of a Parent/Teacher Conference night with both the YM and the YW. We had tables set up for each class where the parent and student would come and visit with the leaders and advisors, seeing where they were on their PP and making goals together to get something done. It was good to have the parents see where their daughters, (or sons) were at with the program. I think the parents get left out of the picture too much, even though we emphasize the need for their help.
