Give a bag of pretzel, you could cover them in chocolate or what ever you want to do to them, then add the following to them

Many, many years ago monks in Southern Europe made pretzels as a reward for children who said their prayers. The pretzel was shaped to represent the crossed arms of a child praying.

Then you can add something like

It is our hope that in the coming year the prayers if your heart will be answered.
